The Jaagpad is a very popular location where houseboat residents enjoy a spectacular view every day.

The Jaagpad was once part of the old barge route between Amsterdam and Leiden. Nowadays, that’s history. Instead, there now are boathouses along the route and also here and there some people daydreaming about living in one of these unique houses. We completely understand: living in these houses you’ll have a holiday feeling in your own home everyday. Also, these houses are rarely available.

There is swimming, supping, rowing, canoeing and of course danger. Here you feel at one with water and with the weather, thanks to the large sliding doors on the waterfront, among other things.

The view over the Schinkel is phenomenal. If you go by boat, within a few minutes you’ll reach the boat lock, which gives access to the Nieuwe Meer with its many recreational facilities.
